Motofest is a celebration of all things two-wheels held each year at Hampton Downs in New Zealand.
It’s unique in that it combines the highest level national championship (New Zealand Superbike Championship) with a historic festival which attracts high profile bikes and riders from around the world.
For this show telling the stories of the legends of motorcycling is our focus, this allows production of an entertaining show for broadcast on NZ and Australian TV with a small cost-effective crew.
The inaugural event was a special experience for us as we were lucky enough to work with Steve ‘Stavros’ Parrish as host. Beyond his incredible career as a racer he fronted the BBCs MotoGP coverage and the Isle of Mann TT among other events, so to have him working his magic in front of our cameras was an unforgettable experience.
For 2019 Steve focused on enjoying the weekend (and featured as an interview subject rather than host) and we were lucky enough to work with Aussie broadcasting legend Greg Rust. His style and interviewing technique a perfect fit for a show which told some amazing stories.
